PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) for Hair Loss
PRP for hair loss involves drawing a small amount of the client's blood, isolating the growth factors and bioactive proteins (which facilitate and expedite tissue repair and regeneration), and injecting this platelet-rich plasma into the scalp to stimulate hair growth.
What is PRP for Hair Loss?
PRP for hair loss is a treatment that utilises a biological product derived from the client’s own blood. The platelet-rich plasma is packed with growth factors (such as TGF-beta, PDGF-AB, bFGF, IGF, VEGF, and EGF) and bioactive proteins (globulin, albumin, fibrinogen), along with nutrients, vitamins, hormones, and electrolytes that enhance tissue repair and regeneration. During the process, plasma is separated, removing red blood cells and leukocytes which can hinder the repair and regeneration process.
PRP for Hair Loss Results
This treatment boosts hair density and reduces hair loss to normal levels. Noticeable improvements typically appear within 90 days, with some patients experiencing continued hair growth improvement for up to six months. PRP can be combined with other hair loss treatments such as DR CYJ Hair Filler, topical or oral minoxidil, oral finasteride, and hair transplants. It is often used both before and after hair transplants.
Results have been observed in patients with androgenetic alopecia and alopecia areata, and the treatment is suitable for both men and women.
How Does PRP for Hair Loss Work?
A small amount of the client's blood is collected and processed in a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma from the red blood cells.
The plasma is then injected into the scalp. The procedure is quick, taking around 40 minutes.
A typical course involves three PRP sessions, with one set of injections each month over a three-month period. Ongoing maintenance treatments every six months are recommended.

Achieving Optimal Results with PRP for Hair Loss
We have observed that the best outcomes are achieved through a combined therapy protocol, integrating PRP with DR CYJ hair filler.
Standard Course:
PRP: 3 sessions, one per month
DR CYJ: 2-3 sessions, one per month, alternating with PRP treatments
Side Effects of PRP for Hair Loss
PRP (platelet-rich plasma) for hair loss is a safe treatment with no risk of transmitting infectious diseases since it is derived from the client’s own blood (autologous product). Adverse reactions are extremely rare because PRP is made from the client's own blood. Clients might experience minor redness and swelling, but they can resume their usual activities immediately.

Do not wash your hair on the day of the treatment.
Avoid using hair styling products.
Aftercare Following PRP Treatment
